Trough belt conveyors work best in containing rolling, small or fly-away materials so they can be transported easily. They are typically used to transport fines, glass, shredded paper, broke, trim, broke and aggregates because their trough-shaped belt ensures the materials are contained on the belt as they are transported.
The trough shape is created by three-part roller sets supporting the belt and the resultant semi-circular shape can be altered by choosing varying angled roller sets to give the best belt angle of the trough for the materials to be conveyed.
Available in a range of trough sets to match the best requirements of the material to be conveyed, these machines can come with scrapers, belt weighers and chevrons to process the material cleanly and reliably.
