WEEE E-Scrap and IT

OKAY WEEE and E-scrap Recycling Plants take in large, whole IT units, such as computers, screens or cables, and process these so the metals, plastics and fibres are recovered.

The essential first step is to shred the IT waste into small pieces so the materials can be liberated and separated.  We then use mechanical screens, feeders, magnets, Eddy current Separators, electrostatic separators, optical sorters and air to recover the individual fractions ready for recycling.

It is a true upgrading process: we take a waste product and transform it into a valuable raw material that has a variety of further uses, from injection moulding to regrinds for the plastics industry. Not only does this ensure that as little WEEE waste as possible ends up in landfill, it also provides cost-effective, high quality end product plastics for resale and distribution. Each raw material recovered can be used in the making of new products.
